Guild Bylaws
Following are the rules to be followed at ALL times by ALL Guild members. Failure to follow the rules as laid out here will result in removal from Altruistic Valorians at the discretion of the Guild Leader and Officers.
1) This a drama FREE environment, causing drama or instigating can result in guild removal.
2) NO constant begging or whining.
3) There is a Maximum of 3 characters per player in AV. The Minimum level for a New Member is Level 55 at Level 60 they may add (2) ALTs to AV.
4) The Guild Leader Guild Officers will be available to handle all internal and external problems independently as they arise and request assistance from other Officers as they deem appropriate.
5) All members are requested to render assistance to other AV members if they ask for help.
6) You are NOT to steal kills for ANY Reason.
7) Conduct yourself appropriately in public channels.
8) Use your Tradeskills to benefit the guild. Flip side of the same coin: Don't expect your guildies to ride the cost of the mats. Be prepared to farm/buy the mats or pay for the ones you use. We are a team, not a charity.
9) All members are REQUIRED to involve themselves in the guild. Come to the raids and group with us whenever possible. Spread the word of our guild to others. No member is allowed to put another member on /ignore. If someone bothers you that much, let an officer know so we can handle the problem.
10) ALL Members will extend the same respect to each other as they would to the Guild Leader and Officers. TRY to get along with your fellow members. RESPECT each others right to hold their opinions. If there is a conflict between members that cannot be resolved by the members themselves, inform one of the Officers or the Guild Leader. ALL Conflicts will be handled confidentially and fairly. First and foremost, do NOT carry a conflict into public channels or Guild chat - KEEP IT PRIVATE.
11) When you are spoken to in guild chat a response is appreciated. Make sure everyone feels important and NOT ignored.
12) Keep the guild's reputation in mind. If what you are about to do would cause the guild to be looked down upon, don't do it! Above ALL, the honor of the guild should be the most important consideration in ANY action of ANY member.
13) HAVE FUN!
14) No one is guaranteed a raid spot. Your class leader/officer is responsible for inviting people to raid. Those people are the best force for the fight, and if the case of sitters, will be rotated out as time allows. Just because you didn't get in tonight, doesn't mean you are perma-benched. Officers willingly rotate themselves out without crying..members can also. Save your sucking for your spouses and keep drama to a minimum. The guild/raid is ALWAYS more important than one person. Get with your class OFFICER if you have issues with your benching.
15) Do NOT show up to raid PVP flagged. If you do, you will be benched. We can't heal you if are, and we aren't wasting raid time to wait for your flag to drop.
16) BiS consumables are REQUIRED for progression fights. If you don't have them, you can BUY them from your class officer. We are a raiding guild, and as such, need to have the best tools available to meet DPS checks and mechanics. This policy is not optional.
Raid Schedule
Altruistic Valorians raids 4 nights a week - Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Raids begin at 8:30 PM EST, and generally last until ~Midnight EST.
Reset day is Wednesday. If you are in need gear, you can NOT miss a farm night. Your class officer will monitor your gear/progression.
Honestly, if you can't make farm night, you aren't going to be able to keep up gear wise as you get no marks from the night we do the most killing. Those that are ONLY on for farm night will be top of the list for benching on progression nights because nothing that comes easy is ever appreciated.
Loot Policy
All members will need to register on the DKP site (which is DIFFERENT than the forums, so you must sign up for BOTH). Altruistic Valorians DKP site Loot will be based on the DKP system:
Characters EARN points based on PARTICIPATION of raid encounters as registered on Officer's Logs of the Raid/Event that is taking place at the time.
Raid encounters will all have a preset value, depending on which raid we are doing.
Regular loot items have a minimum bid of 5. Items that drop are distributed through private bidding by sending TELLS to the Loot Officer. The player with the HIGHEST bid is awarded the Item.
In the case of a TIE the player with the MOST Overall points is awarded the Item. If the bidders tie in points as well, highest raid attendance takes the item.
Loot will be exclusive to MEMBERS first, then APPLICANTS, then to off-spec builds. Relics and crafted raid items will be handed out based on loot council and given a specific cost of DKP.
It's in the guilds best interest to ensure items go to the people best suited to use them and will bring the most benefit to the raid. Get with your class OFFICER as to which relics/items you want. Crafted mats go on a rotation basis, meaning tanks, healers, DPS.
The Guild Leader is the FINAL arbitrator on ALL loot issues.
